Other programs I use are:
EditPad Lite, a notepad replacement
Realplayer, a media player I use for opening some types of media
AVG 7.5, an antivirus program
Hamachi, a program to create a "fake LAN" between computers
Wegame, an ingame recorder
+ the things every one always tells you to download and some things not worthy of mention

VLC rapes your CPU usage, use zoom player instead. It's way better.

Zoom player is very good, sadly however its not free.

The premium version of it isn't free, but the trial version is, and the trial version is all you need.

Yes but unless you plan on waiting 3 sec and hit a number every time its not free.
