Voice Battery: Yes or No?
« on: September 11, 2010, 04:38:13 PM »
So Ned installed new voice battery system yesterday and now is time to have vote do you guys like it.

Personally i hate it, i know it is there to prevent micspam, but in the end it just causes more harm than good, first of all, people should have right to speak about non TTT matter in server, as it is kinda stupid to force people to only speak about game 24/7 as it just ruins the happy mood on server. Other problem is that people can speak long about TTT itself, game mechanics, who is traitor, what people do, should we kill someone. Whole battery just gets on your way, sometimes prevents you say radical things and generally is really pissing people off.

I vote no, get rid of it and never put it on again.

Im hearing this idea, and I cant believe it. Why the hell would you put a battery on the mic? All this means is that very vocal or chatty people just die without being heard! Neds already installed anti-micspam so why would we need this?

Honestly I did not notice having it. But I didn't actively use it either... Having the battery during a discussion would be epic fail because it empties quite quickly.

So a NO for me.

Ned probably said yes, I mean he's the one who put it back on in the first place.

I said yes as well

Today it was just fine, I am not the most talkative of people but you do not need to be in TTT, one thing that used to annoy me is people talking useless shit over voice and drowning out the people who are being killed by traitors or relaying important information

Thats half the point of being a traitor though :/ using other noise to cover up your dastardly deeds. Also, what if you needed to have a long drawn out discussion with some one who was potentially about to be banned? I know you could type, but it's much easier to chat if you're trying to play at the same time.

well excuse me princess, but how else would you go about using wireless devices :D?

Furthermore amazed this topic has so many votes, what did you guys do, let your cousins vote for you?

Well, Ned. The more people vote, the more pressing the matter is. Apparently a lot of people hate it. I think it's time to remove it.

Oh and for my reason why I voted No: Everytime I go into a discussion with someone who just won't shut the fuck up and let me finish, I run out. So that dick runs out too but usually gets away with whatever he did. Or it's just a simple conversation. Either way it runs out quickly and charges slowly. Get rid of it, please.
