Never saw that one coming. Really liking the mass extractor change, fair amount of AI and balance changes as well.

I'll be ditching oil all together myself as I'm running out and don't got the space in my trade port. If you have the possibility you should plop down a tradeport, nail down your other ones and ship it out by boat/train. This will be much more efficient and you can store much more in those warehouses.

I'f you plop down about 4-6 warehouses and store em all up and then go SELL SELL SELL SELL you might be able to reach the first unlock. You'll have to do the math on this but this is how I'm unlocking my TV's soon.
Do keep in mind that this will leave you without any in come on oil for a few days so save up a mil just to be safe.

More then do-able if you got plenty housing. I got 130k in my area and that has 2 ore mines, coal mine, oil well, smelter and a CPU factory along with some other tech buildings. As long as you can keep em happy your city grows.
I also got a hospital, full blown fire dep to meet up with my city demand, regional bus and uni. I got too much stuff in my area to meet my own demand so it be nice if others would start to specialize into this so some things can be outsourced. Doesn't help that most of my busses go to pac to pick up his shitty people.
I do have traffic jams on my highway and sadly lack a railroad for train-station.

How are you doing regarding the unlocks for oil Chan? It's best to go for these as oil barrels is worth fuck all on it's own unless you can start making fuel/plastic out of it.
Trade port is also fantastic to be able to ship out thousands at once and don't get backlogged like the trucks.

Has anyone figured out how local trade works yet? I'd like to be able to buy ores from nearby areas. I heard something about it being cheaper then buying from the global market while the neighbors still make a profit.

The problem is not the storage of garbage but the collecting. 16 trucks weren't enough for my previous tourist city so if I have to cover a region I'll need a fleet of them.

Since we're most likely starting a new region after having practiced on the previous one and having one city become "save" corrupted (can't enter nor delete). A new region is for the best, along with making sure nobody claims more then 1 area, at least for starters. I think exceptions can be made for late comers if their plot has empty spots.

As pointed out on teamspeak the goal is to coordinate with other cities and specialize as you are supposed to do in the newer simcity. Should prove to be challenging but fun at the same time.

This thread is to help identify the goals of each player so we can don't have conflicting interests or tackle the same problems. I understand it might be difficult to coordinate with people who aren't on teamspeak or not as chatty but I hope this thread might get things going for those people as well.

My goal for the new city is Industrial, cpu's > tv's

Need Ore, Oil, Coal region. I need all three for maximum profit, plastic will be hard at start as it requires oil barrels to be sold which is awful low value right now.
Garbage collection, normal and recycled. If recycled ends up helping me expand  to more factories I will transfer excessive money to neighboring regions.
Fire department, unsure about choppers as airfield might have low value for me along with the big space requirement.
Sewage.

What I would like to get from nearby areas:

Power, can run  on coal and share at start until someone can take over with high power cleaner production. Nuclear?
Water, my area will be fairly high on pollution and industry needs loads.
Police
Medical, will require some of those health advisers to keep my city from dying of germs.
Education. I will mostly need low class workers for my industry so this might be a moot need for most part.


Regarding garbage and sewage I will provide as much as possible but I will not be making more then 3-6 garbage, recycling collectors. Same goes for sewage. With this I mean buildings fully upgraded with all trucks. I don't want hundreds of poo trucks driving about.

I'm willing to make it as big as possible without completely covering my city in these structures. City size is limited and I do need some for the rest.

Drowning his sadness with alcohol because the new sim city sucks dick.

Seems most plausible. The features so far:

Long waiting lines.
Network Errors.
Game userdata corrupting itself.
Random DC.

On top of that the launcher REFUSES to launch for me when playing another game (DX error). When I launch the launcher before I play another game the launcher crashes when it's done with the queue.

Best 47 bucks spend.

I suggest everyone starts a city on whatever region you can get your hands on and then swap servers when stuff stabilizes.

Pick the EU server that is not selected by default, assuming one server is.

Will have to check this out when someone is able to play the damn game. Also most curious about playing in the same zone and whether or not this requires one person to accept everyone.

The region better be named frozen valley or else!
