Those changes sound great. I really think weapons having different recoil patterns adds to the game. Being able to try and master a weapon for maximum efficiency like in BF3 is kick ass once you handle it.

Hey guys, sorry for aboosing the announcement system for advertisement.
However I feel that any RTS fan who hasn't heard of the following game yet should check it out.

Not using steam to broadcast this RTS would be the true crime!

Planetery Annihilation is a RTS which is currently on kickstarter. I could explain you what the game is all about and why it's so fricking AWESOME but pictures show more then words so check out the following vids.

Galaxy War, really check this out if you like conquest in RTS games.

Furthermore these are ex dev's from Westwood and Gaspowered games, the guys who know how to make a RTS!

On another note, we're all still alive and kicking and a huge part of the community is currently playing guildwars 2 on the realm underworld along with a portion playing planetside2.

So if you play any of these games and looking for people to play with, give us a yell.

I understand most do not have a CC but that's no need to hate an entire company for. Also there are multiple cheap ways to use a CC without monthly payment.

Curious, what's up with the hate against Amazon? Or do you dislike them for not having paypal?
While it's most annoying they only support credit card. Paypal is from Ebay which is still their competition.
Not to mention they take 5-10% from each kickstarter. With paypal this amount would be even higher as ebay takes a chunk which ends up with even less money for the devs.

I'd like to see a company try their own kickstarter model but I doubt it will happen, too much trust to lay in a company directly.

Grab this mod please, it's a simple package so you won't have to do any manual searching to get it all to work.

It improves on AI, adds in all the classical supcom1/fa units, well not sure if all but a hella lot.  It also adds in the supcom economy system so you will have a draining economy.

ps. Extract anywhere but the steam folder.

Couple quick notes.

Just open the mod manager, add in the mods. Select them and make it look like the picture. Make sure to only have 1 economy mod running!

With Kings and Castles in the freezer and Gas Powered Games working on AoE there's little chance of seeing another supcom like game anytime soon.
The excessive microing of starcraft 2 isn't for me and with C&C going down the shitters with it's F2P model there's only one thing I want.
A new RTS with tactical zoom on a battlefield with thousands of units.  Oh did I mention it will be on a planetary scale and will feature EX developers from Westwood and GPG?
The most important feature for us will be the client server model. In short this means Moon or anyone else with a crappy connection or laggy pc won't slow down the game and the only ones getting a bad experience will be them.

Features:
  • Passionate developers, (nearly) everyone from the team has an RTS background. Big names like GPG and Westwood.
  • Kickstarter, they're getting the community involved heavily at an early stage. Fan input will be very important.
  • They've gone all out on sharing information about the game. Not leaving the community in the dark.
  • It has an original, unique art direction.
  • Innovative game-play using the multiple planet system.
  • Skirmish + LAN emphasis.
  • Mod support, OMG...
  • Procedural planet creator. New map each time I play, awesome.
  • Persistent debris, wrecks.
  • Diversification. Want to play a 20min match, or a 12hr game. Suits all types of RTS gamers.
  • The core game play itself is driven by the fundamentals of RTS ideologies.
  • Client server model, the slowest PC will no longer slow down your entire game and will allow insanely big battles like 40 player games.
  • You can destroy planets!
  • Multi camera support that also works on one screen, allowing you to see multiple parts of the battle at once.
